Summer Schools

The summer school gathers together the students, lecturers, scholars and industries involved in DESEM, and provide a framework for interaction through talks, presentations, field-trips and social activities. Each student will attend two summer schools - one at the end of their first and second year. Here they will attend presentations by invited speakers on both technical and non-technical issues, present their own project work and will collaborate with other Erasmus Mundus students on shared tasks.

Summer schools will typically involve a week of preparation where students will cooperate electronically on project work, followed by a week of lectures and presentations. As student dissertations will be examined at the programme wide summerschools it is essential that all students attend. Students must pass both summerschools in order to progress on the course. Information regarding the Summerschool role is documented below. Previous summerschool information can be found above.
The 4th DESEM Summer School will be held in the University of St. Andrews, Scotland from 3rd July 2017 - 8th July 2017.
